Non Toxic oil painting workshop in Silverton, Oregon

Mixin’ it up with juicy non-toxic oil paints!

October 7-10, 2012 at the Oregon Garden Resort

Discovering and Expanding your Ability to Visually Express Yourself

Can your creative self come out and play?  Workshops are a great way to nurture your spirit, increase your skills and ability, and enjoy a beautiful location at the same time.  Award-winning artist Barbara Bassett will guide both beginners and more experienced students to strengthen basic design, color, and composition skills. This fun, 2½  day workshop will begin with an informal discussion and overview on Sunday before dinner at The Oregon Garden, then two and a half days of projects designed to teach and reinforce each new skill you learn.

We design our workshops to be hands-on and supportive of every student, regardless of prior training.  We meet you where you are and walk you though the next steps to learn how to paint using non-toxic materials.  You’ll learn proven techniques for capturing your own unique impressions of the world around you. Professional instructor and watercolorist Mary Marquiss will also be joining us to assist those of you who have a watercolor background adjust to this new medium (she’s great fun, and will also be learning to oil paint using this new medium!)
